Kadoorie Farm

Kadoorie Farm is one of the few places in HK I love to visit again and again ...

They put a plate there, calling this 簕杜鵑. Not sure whether it is the same thing my colleague mentions.

The very first time I took a pic of a butterfly. Hope you like it.

There are even plants along a (water) duct.

Hiking around Shing Mun Reservoir

Shing Mun Reservoir is so close to my home.
So, sometimes I don't consider it as "hiking" if I go there for a walk.

But it does take a few hours to walk around it.

And, surprised to find so many BIG white-bark trees here.

Disclaimer: I really don't know this couple.

在橋上

Not quite sure:
how many bridges are there linking Tsing Yi Island with other places?

Anyway, I was jogging on one of them yesterday.

What I saw on the bridge ...
Nina Tower:

(turning around ...) Maritime Square:

(still turning around ...) the various housing estates along the shore:

(and finally ...) Rambler Channel:

Then I reached Riviera Garden, looking back at Tsing Yi Island.

This is an official jogging trail. Looks good wor~.

I was at a Korean restaurant.
Found a slice of chilli in my dish, with seeds.
Wondered whether I could plant them. So, I ...

Where there is a will, ...

J, my runmate, asked me whether it is possible to get to the "seaside".

I didn't know.
I didn't even know how to find out the answer (say, from Internet or from other friends).

So, I took the simple but straightforward way - I went to the site and explored it myself.
The answer is: +ve.
It is just one-minute walk away from the station.

Well, there is a signpost which seems to tell "no admission". But who cares.
One thing to watch out: the track is more for cars than for people. So, do pay attention to cars coming from behind. My personal experience: I ran for around 30mins and only saw one van travelling on the track.

So, here is the starting point:

Looking in the other direction:

If you live somewhere nearby, you may even come here by bus.
Here is the bus stop.

So, happy jogging, as always. :)
